Residence reporting (SKTT)

Register a new resident with the civil registry after arrival, and report address changes when they move.

Foreign residents with a stay permit register their address with the local civil registry office, which issues a residence certificate (SKTT). Some areas also ask for a report to the police.

We complete these registrations in Batam, coordinate them for other cities, and keep the certificates with the rest of the permit file.

How we handle it

  1. Collect

We gather the permit details and proof of address.

  2. Register

We register the resident with the civil registry office.

  3. Archive

We store the certificate with the permit file for future renewals.

Documents usually needed

  • Passport and KITAS
  • Proof of address, such as a tenancy agreement or a letter from the landlord or employer
  • Passport photo

The exact list depends on the case. We send a checklist for your situation after the first review.

Questions

Do we need to report a change of address?

Yes. A move should be reported so the registration matches where the resident lives. We update it for you.

Tell us who is coming and when.

Send the passport and position details on WhatsApp and we reply with the steps, the documents and a schedule.
